My favorite couple, because they are my favorite cooks! I am happy to see the daily specials on the website, it makes it really simple to see what’s happening, not that I don’t mind Sally telling me about them! Keep up the great cooking, there are no bad choices! Love It.

    Chef Shell,
You should know what a hit your spam pate’ was. You were so terrific to go the extra mile with our 1940’s theme. We had endless comments. “That isn’t really spam is it? “No way, that is soooo good!” All in all, it was a successful night and you get a great share of the credit. Thank you so very much. Onward to the next event, eh?

Ok, what is it about Shells Chicken Noodle Soup that cures all ills? I was feeling a little sick today and Michelle gave me some broth from her Granny’s chicken noodle soup and honestly, two sips and I felt better!! Thanks so much Shell! If you hadn’t thought of it, I wouldn’t have and I feel much better now.

The donuts at Coffee Harbor have such intriguing names. How about calling one the “Freighter Frank”. This would have to be your largest donut, of course.

    Chef Shell:
The box of Roadkill Roy’s was, by far, my son’s favorite Christmas gift this year. Thank you so much for accommodating my desperate last-minute order and getting it to us on time. Needless to say, it was a big hit!

  24. Everett on January 20, 2010

I’m still a ravenous aficionado of the great RKR [acromyn pronounced like the word "RAKER" (Road Kill Roy)] sandwich all the way down here at Wayne State… Hopin’ I’ll have some time to make a trip back into town again soon to order some to go… I pray that business is booming for ya’s! Blessings to “Shell’s” and “little chefs”!

This was a nice letter we got from one of our customers and wanted to share this with you:
    Dear Chef Shell’s Staff,
I want to thank you for the joy you have brought to my brother. For serveral years now you have made beautiful Christmas and Easter baskets for my brother to give to the staff members at the Thornhill Group Home.
My brother is severely mentally and physically disabled. He is blind, unable to walk, unable to talk and takes all of his food and medicine through a feeding tube. He communicates with non-verbal means of “yes” & “no”.
What my brother can do is to reach out from his heart with love and thankfulness. That is where your role comes in.
He is so grateful to somehow show his appreciation for all the hard work, love and respect given to him by the Thornhill Group Home Staff! The attention and care that you put into making these gift baskets reflects the gratitude that he wants to share.
At times a person may think a job is just a job, but in reality what a person does and how well he does it shows the quality of that persons commitment. If my brother could, he would say that the Chef Shell’s Staff “Rocks”!
I have many times tried to get my brother to make plans for other gifts to give, but he doesn’t want to hear about it. He wants gift baskets from Chef Shell’s and no one else!
Again, I want to thank you for all of your love and care given in preparing these beautiful holiday baskets. What you do does make a difference to one grateful young man and his family!

    With Love & Respect,
    Diane L. Tokarski

This is a note we got from the Smith Family,
My Family and I wish to thank you for the excellent food and service. This really helped to comfort us after the funeral. Everything was terrific and I will certainly recommend you to my family , friends and neighbors. If anyone ever asks you for references , you can use my name and phone number.

Thank you Don for the positive comments we were glad we could help you at such a difficult time.

    Here’s a nice email we received from a customer….

My family and I have been a RKR fan for years. I introduced it to a friend and now their family is hooked. Recently I renewed my “stash” of 6 bottles. Tonight I had them over to break into a bottle together. I have to tell you it was delicious. I made boneless beef ribs and bbq chicken. DELICIOUS!! My husband and I went to Caseville, MI (in the thumb) recently. It just so happened to be their Ribstock Festivle. 8 different restaurants competed. YOUR SAUCE WOULD BLOW THEM AWAY!!!

We’re going to have to take a road trip to Port Huron one day and give you a big hug!! Keep on Killing!!

    Karen Gordon

    Thanks Karen!
